For the diesel guys who actually go out to the track alot, the officials dont like being blasted with tons of black smoke on launch.

^^ thats the only reason to have stacks if you do pulls they want the smoke to go straight up and not out it has no performance gains at all

i bet he has cats and a stock muffler under the truck feeding into those pipes too. if not i guess he knows nothing about back pressure

One of their few purposes other than looks is for towing as well. Puts the smoke up in the air instead of right on the trailer, this is a big deal if they are towing livestock of any sort. If you have an enclosed trailer the stacks will put less soot on the trailer than if it were out the side.

This guy is ridic though. wow

Yep, looks like a lot of the clapped out piles of redneck puke that roll around here. There's actually a V6 F150 ECSB with similar stacks. Pretty terrible.

The coolest stack I ever saw was at a tractor pull and he had a single 6" or so out of the hood, was pretty awesome.

Theres a ford powerstroke dully that hangs out at my neighbors that has a single flat black 6inch stack coming out of the bed. Ill try and get a pic of it when I see it next time
