Well here goes another tranny dump thread...

Well fellas I should be back up and running as soon as the middle of next week. I am just going to take it to a local transmission Saturday if I get it out by then, I am saving a boat load of money with removing it my self. I will have it back Tuesday morning. Just getting the time to install it next week is going to hold me up to getting it back in. Also going with a 2800 stall when I reinstall it.
If it pops again I am going to 80E for sure, I think I may start to gather parts to do the swap this spring, I just can not afford to do it at this time or else I would.

Thanks John. I do think my rear is next to go. Everything else will be like new and well the G80... you all ready know about them.
Joe it is not worth paying someone about $1000 to remove and install the transmission. It will be completely rebuilt. I have not got it out of the truck to take it to the shop. The truck is at my buddy's repo yard inside of the garage, so it's not worth having it towed to the shop and have them determine what the problem is then take it back to the shop and remove it.
I am getting the whole thing rebuilt for $1250 and it will take him about a day. It will come with a 12 month and unlimited mileage warranty.
