man you should buy Josh's for $300 and save your money for a built tranny, he said he'll do the tb stall and tranny for $400

This will get you on the road and you won't have to deal with this local guy.Man we can have that tranny out in no time.

Sucks man, I would have convinced your father to go for the built trans, especially since its your money, but we all know where your coming from, sometimes your stuck when **** like this happens. I know when I replaced my transmission my old one was fine, but I figured with 140k miles its just a matter of time, and I didnt wanna get stuck somewhere obsolete. I also drive like a grandma 99% of the time, never really go over 2k rpms...

If I was you I would start saving up for an FLT whatever level you can afford after you pay your old man back. Then when you have the cash you could sell your old one and take theirs as your core for FLT. Performabuilt would be a good way to go as well but I havent ever used them, tons of other happy customers as well.

Well the truck is back on the road. Have to get the headers welded back up and then I will be able to see how it really runs. With NO back pressure it's a dog for the most part. I have pictures of the broken parts and I'll get them up later tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks to:
slownlow4.8, sureshot and mangled03gmc for all of the help and parts!

Thanks man. The only complaint that I have is my back is killing me from laying on the COLD concrete for a few hours. First time removing a trans and installing one.

Lets go now I don't care, running just open headers. I will hit you up once I get my 6.0 done and see how good we both run

I will not race you John I have been in your truck and it is wicked fast!

Thanks man, I have almost put 50 miles on it and have not had it over 3K yet. I think once I get the exhaust done I will give her hell! It's just toooo loud having just headers all the time for me, well you know what it sounds like John.
