we will see, Im trying not to get my hopes up it looks like some rich college kid is buying the truck tomorrow so I hope it goes to a good new home lol. Other than that its talking with lawyers and getting their recommendation if I need a prototype or just the patented idea... we shall see so far the first couple lawyers I talked to quoted $2k for first consultation fees...

If you haven't went to a lawyer yet, I would go to a patent office yourself. They charge a lot of money just to see if the design has been taken, and you could easily do that yourself without paying them. It is near impossible to patent something due to the fact that it has already been patented. My brother is a chemical engineer for General Motors, and has told me it is extremely hard to think of something that hasn't been thought of yet. He works on their electric car, and a lot of those patents were developed years ago. I had a cylinder head idea years ago, and after checking at the patent office it was taken. It was never made in production, and I always wanted to see a vehcile run on it... I do wish you the best of luck with the venture. Keep your head up, and sometimes changing just one littl thing will make the ability to patent.

sorry for the delay folks, it didnt go so well, turns out theres quite a few patents that are extremely close to what I was attempting to get patented so its on the back burner for now as I try and think of different ways to tinker with the design to make it more unique.
I still have a few months to make changes to still own a patent and the lawyers are looking at a couple small parts of the design that look new but funds control these things. I had a meeting set up with a company in San Antonio that develops engines/motors for different manufacturers and they told me to keep looking at it and thinking of different ways as well and they are still interested except for the other patents involved.
