i know the helmet saved my life, my gf keeps telling me to send an email to Icon and let them know how well their helmets perform
i got the bike out of the impound and its really not as bad as i thought it was going to be. i have someone who wants to buy it but im waiting to see what happens with everything before i let it go.....and if i do keep it the parts to fix it arent too expensive, i can probably be riding it again for about $3k or a little more

Dawg, aside from all the other stuff I'm just glad you're ok. I see ppl riding without their gear and it pisses me off. I don't even feel right if I don't have everything on. Even If you're doing everything right, you can't help what other people do sometimes. Get rested up and get better and say a little prayer thanking God for holding you in his arms on this one.

i have never ridden without gear and i definitely never will, especially after this one. im going to try to go back to work tomorrow but my foot and ankle are still pretty swollen and bruised, it doesnt hurt but it is hard to fit into a shoe much less a steel-toe work boot

Damn dude....glad your ok, i want a bike but stuff like that makes me not.
The ladies insurance would only pay if deemed her fault...but the speeding ticket doesnt help his case that it was her faullt, when it clearly was.....nobody ever pays attention to bikers, a buddy of mine was killed on a busa when a truck pulled over ontop of him....driver never even looked for him.

I have lost some great friends to idiots that dont care to look for bikers. My buddy Dennis had more than a million safe miles on motorcycles when a dude plowed him and another guy over. The other guy lost his leg, Dennis was not so lucky. He was on a bran new beamer that he bought just for the trip he was on. I wish I still had the pictures I'd post em. The guy that killed him jumped from the 2nd floor of the hospital and disappeared.
