I had the same truck I have now; I bought it new 2 months after I turned 16 in 2001. It looked similar to this in high school. All I had done to it was true dual straight pipes with 4" tips.

'71 Challenger R/T, 440, purple shaft, M1, 800 double pumper, 4.56s with a pistol gripped 4 speed manual overdrive out of a truck. B5 blue with white R/T stripes, white vinyl interior, console delete, Ralley dash... Niiice car. Back when muscle cars were still cheap. (1999) Painted it and made it even nicer. Swapped in a proper direct drive 4 gear and made it scary quick, until it screamed at 100mph. But, it attracted so many ********* in Mustangs and ******* old guys telling me, "well this ain't 'correct,' this ain't 'correct'..." I hated it! Sold it right before muscle car prices went through the roof. But I don't regret it.

I drove a 1977 Dodge Aspen.
Looked like this but not in as good of shape...

Bought it off a used car lot, was a POS that had an electrical chord wrapped around the engine block that acted as a battery cable and secondary motor mount!

As per my Dad's rules, I wasn't allowed to have my own car till I graduated, even though I had a job, and everything. But.........he said I COULD have a car to work on, but can't legally drive, yet. So...................I had a 65 Chevelle 2 door wagon with a built 327, 4 speed, all the goodies. I just couldn't drive it "legally" That didn't stop me from hitting the local cruise spots, and even driving it to school a few days when he was out of town.

The day after graduation,(1975), I got a 69 Chevelle SS 396 with only 29,000 on it. Man.....................sure wish I had that one back!!!!!
