We had a Kubota midmount with a fifty something inch deck. It was a three cylinder diesel and had a hydraulic deck. that thing was badass.

I owned a lawn service for 6 six years, you need a 60+" deck zero turn. Will take half the time over a tractor and cant beat the maneuvering. I would suggest a dixie chopper, toro commercial, or scag. Also get a set of Gator blades that will offer a great cut and will pulverize debris and rocks.

I've had both the kubota ZD2872 and now I have a Kubota B3030 tractor. By far I like the tractor better. You can do so much more with the tractor. You really need to figure out what is you primary goal. If your gonna cut grass only, then the zero turn is the way to go. If you do decide on the zero, do not get one with a deck larger than 60". I had the 72" and it did not cut even at all. You also have to be careful with the zero about making sharp turns and rutting up your yard. My tractor is a 30 hp with a 60" mid mount mower that can be removed. It also has a hydrastatic transmission which i love.
I vote for the tractor. Oh and my tractor has turf tires so it doesnt tear up the yard.

Thanks for the advice guys. Honestly, I'm leaning toward a Bad Bay PUP series mower 30 HP Kawasaki 52-60" deck. Its honestly all I REALLY need. But I would love to have a tractor. There is a local place that has a Kubota BX 2350--23 horse 3 cylinder liquid cooled diesel 4x4 with a front loader and 60" belly mower & turf tires for a pretty decent price. I know I would definitely get use out of the tractor with the loader and optional attachments availability.

My main concern is about the manuverability of the tractor around the house.

Those BadBoy mowers are awesome! PM 03sierraSLT. He has one.

I use a 2008 Deere 2320 3 cyl diesel 4x4 compact tractor.

It has a quick detach Front end loader ( worth its weight in gold) And a drive on quick attach 62'' deck.

Its built like a brick **** house and ive never had a problem with.

I mow 2.5 acres ( own 12) And it mows great/fast and Ive moved over 200 ton of fill with it.

I bought it cuz its very versatile, i was going to get a zero turn, but for a little more money i got a machine that can do it all.

We use a 52" Gravely w/26hp Kawasaki. Absolutely love it. Mow about 6 acres. Will NEVER go back to a tractor style.

Tim, thats about the size tractor I've been looking at, I definitely like the versatility or it. I'm still torn, the bad boy is about 6500 and the tractor is about 12000. Both are local, Finance rates are better for the tractor. Still torn, I'm going to look at the bad boys this weekend and see what I think, really want to move on this in the next week or so, so I need to make a decision quicklike.
