Where to start?

Back in 04/05 time frame I had recently supercharged my Dodge (Novi2000) found an obliging Silverado SS.. his AWD took me off the line then the boost really crept up. After blowing the doors off he asked me what that whistle was and if I had an aftermarket throttle body?

I informed him my power steering pump was failing..

More recently
I was at a local car-wash in Murrieta/Temecula area and I approached by an older gentleman who had heard the lope of my cam and asked me if it was carburated? I informed him no it is not in the most polite way.

Again in Murrieta... early morning before work I had to stop for some gas. A man in a newer benz and suit,coat tie the whole 9 informed me "Your lucky it has Alaska plates on it with that cam!" I had a sinking suspicion he was associated with the good ol CARB board. I laughed at him and merely told him... I have a few plug wires not plugged in.

ohhh man.. same gas station. Late night around 0200 a homie in a hooptie donk told me I should "get my **** tuned" it sounded "off" I asked him if he wanted to really find out just how much it was off? He never replied.

I think I need to find another gas station.

 

When I had my SRT8 Charger I just got in the car and drove away, and or walked away when people tried to talk to me about it out of the blue. It's not because it was so badass or anything like that, but just the stupidity of others I have no interest in listening to irritates me, lol.

People assuming and then commenting my 2004 Grand Prix GTP Comp G is some kind of unbeatable race car........ Yeah..... They can think that.

"Those are so fast", "I remember driving one and it hauled @$$". Really? It's a mid 14 second car now maybe on a good day with the mods I have done to it. Stock is low 15's, far from "Fast".

Or I screwed up and had then had to deal with the debauchery that then ensued. I walked into a GM dealer to order some missing bits for my E fan swap in my 05 1500HD. I took the VIN number off a 2007 Suburban they had on the lot ( my fans are out of an 07 truck, which just means they are 7 blade and not 5 like the GMT800 ones were). It just makes it easier to give the monkey a VIN to start with. For whatever reason I told him it was a Burb they had on the lot...... That was my mistake.

Me: "I need the rubber mounts for the bottom of the electric fans on the radiator and the bolts that attach it to the rad core support"
Idiot: "Do you need the radiator?"
Me: "No just the pieces for the fans"
Idiot: "The radiator right?"
Me: "Do you have an exploded view diagram?"
Idiot: "Yes, but what's your vehicles VIN as that might work better?"
Me: " That VIN won't help you, the Suburban is fine...... ( Look over counter at computer).... I need numbers 2 and 4, quantity of 2 of both"
Idiot: "Are you sure you won't give me your VIN. And the rubber pieces are isolators"
Me: "No, the VIN of my vehicle is irrelevant, just order the parts.........."

He asked me at least 4 times for my vehicles VIN...... For what genius, so you can tell me that my HD doesn't have electric fans, lol. Thanks Tips!. Should have said I was using the core support from an 07 truck in like a 1955 Studebaker and asked what that VIN would do for him.

Never, ever tell someone you are modding something or just slip and say something dumb like I did..... I learned that years ago after having a junkyard fight with me that the Vortec 350 heads would not bolt onto a TBI block...... Sigh.

 

When I just bought my truck my friend stopped over to look at it. After doing a walk around of it he asked to open my hood..its just a stock 4.8 but I did anyway. He looks at it and says "same as my motor? 350?" He owns a 99 tahoe this is a 99 silvy.. I reply no its a 4.8. He looks at it again "looks the same as mine"

 

I have a stock as hell 06 ccsb chevy. Molding removed shackles. With new Tahoe ltz 20s. I painted the bowties on the hubcaps glossy black to match the truck.
Pull up to a convenience store...

State trooper, hey whered u get those wheels?
Me, ummmm off a new tahoe.
State trooper, are u serious?
Me, yessir.
State trooper, dang those are nice. I want some. Did they come with those hubcaps.
Me, yessir. Just painted the bowties.

This state trooper was just so frikin amazed by my wheels....
Priceless.

 

I have one person a week ask me if my Titan wheels came off a Silverado SS.

 

Right after my exhaust install pulled up at a buddies house.
Him: damn what did you do sounds good, how much it cost
Me: thanks man, lt's and a cutout, bout a grand all said and done
Him: ye just put a Corvette exhaust on mine, got about 60 extra HP, how much did you gain
Me: not sure but doubt 60hp
Him: man that sucks, you paid waaaaaaaaay to much for yours, should have went with what I got, cost a lot less, with a whole lot more hp

 

The other day I had a girl over trying to teach her a bit about how engines work. Fired up the truck and it began: her: it sounds like it's missing.
me: its because of the cam
her: I think you need to fix that
me: I did, this one is brand new, it runs way better
her: no it doesn't, it sounds like its going to die or explode or something

This went on for several minutes, she could not seem to grasp the concept of a larger cam giving more performance.

 

I was setting up at our local hangout with a buddie and my Gf. He was in his 08 4.7 jeeps with a flow master lol. Anyways this guy rolls up in ccsb 06 ram with a duper chip and intake and something else. He looks at my truck and says " sucks that u only got a v6!!" I was like huh then it hit me its debadged so he thinks it's a v6 lol besides that it says rt has the sport good painted bumpers. I was like yea pretty strong for a v6 tho. He told me that I couldn't hold with his chipped hemi. I just rolled with it and then he's like let's race.. Well I put multiple football fields on him lol. Tops it off he told it wasn't stock and popped the hood and told him that I put a hemi cover on the motor lol

 

O and then the other night i was at the gas station and he came in the there and was like what happened to your truck since I was with my Gf in her cobalt ss. I was like o got the fuel saver so he calls it out. Lol she outran him by two lengths lol its not a sc or tc one just a 2.4 litre 5 speed lol

 

guy..."Why did you put a chevy motor in it"

Me... " Cause dodge motors suck"
