I fired my trivia guy because of this question (I own/manage a bar for those of you who don't know):

Q: "What did NASCAR drivers put in their gas tanks to increase performance in the 1950s before it was banned?"

A: "Nitrous Oxide, or NOS"

I was going to simply correct him and ask him to do another question, but he became a serious dick about it so I canned him. We've been busier with the new guy to boot, so I don't miss him.

 

guy: that thing sounds pretty healthy, what you got about a 600 cam in it?

hahahaha phenominal stories guys. This is about the only one I can think of at the moment and it is monumental to this day in my brain. Kid I used to hang out with, thinks he knows **** and shinola about cars and more. So I drop off a muffler to a guy I work with(they're room mates) We started talking about my 6.0 to go in. Other guy comes out:
guy: heard you putting a 6.0 in that truck? first you ruin it by lowering it now you think its fast?
me: um.. always been faster than yours (owns a toyota tacoma 6 spd v6 sr5 and thinks its hot ****.)
guy: guy at my work (jiffy lube mind you) has one in his camaro, and hes building another one. He put down 450 stock and now with just heads and a cam he's running about 600-650 at the wheels.
me: oh yeah?.... cool...
me: well heres the muffler you wanted Tim, I gotta take off, see ya guys.

haha, and theres no correcting them cuz they're so set in being right. Another one for you but real short
different kid I went to school with.
guy: I think I wanna do heads and cam and intake on my truck.. (lifted 2500 CC)
me: thats cool.. doesnt really make sense since you bitch about gas mileage anyway.
guy: no it should get about the same and now I can beat your truck, planning on getting a port and polish while Im at it. Found it for about 400 bux altogether.
me: alright, cool, we'll race when you get those plans together.

this was after my 4.8 smoked him and now Im building the 6.0 all he does is talk talk talk.

I get tired of explaining how a turbo works, much less an STS.

And yes, I connect my laptop to my truck and tune it, and it is that much better than a handheld.
