looks cheap to me...i use my echo for 20-30 lawns per week and i have no issues. the motor is strong enough to pull heavier line so you dont have to replace it every 20 minutes.

I Never owend an Echo so I don't know about them. I can say the troybuilt is Waaaaaaaayyyyyy better than a homie.(and better than the Husqvarna I had for an hour). The Homie is about $90, so for $20 more he'll get a hell of a trimmer.

last time i bought an echo i think it was around 135. theyve probably gone up since then. last summer i retired an echo backpack blower that did anywhere from 15-30 lawns per week during the summer for the last 8 years of its life. still ran when i parted it out...it just didnt run all that great. echo and honda is what i use for my company

I don't need something industrial for my postage stamp. It will take me longer to get it out, gas it up and start it than it will to actually trim my lawn.

Looks like the Troybuilt will fit that need nicely.

haha nah, its the same amount of time with a bigger motor and aluminum shaft to lighten it up cuz of the heavier aluminum motors. and with that extra power you can go faster instead of sitting in one spot trying to get rid of one of those annoying runners.

For that size property why not just go electric? Thats about half the size of my barn.

I couldn't see spending a ton of $$$ for a high dollar gas trimmer for that much yard.
