I went down to work on my malibu today. I left the car sitting unlocked for about a week with the motor sitting in it. Someone stole parts off the carb, but not the whole carb!

I was trying to figure out the butterflys wouldn't open, and daggum if there isn't parts missing off the thing. EEEERrrrr

Sorry for your loss. I know a while back when Houston was having a tailgate issue, so I was told that it would be a good idea to get a tailgate lock. So I did.

If you have a factory alarm it definitely wont go off. No matter what they do to it. But if its aftermarket and they tried to steal your lights, You'd have to make your alarm really super sensitive to get it to go off with just barely touching the truck..

It's as simple as adding a pin switch to the tailgate for the alarm.

What actually will set off the actory alarm? The only time mine has gone off was on accident when I locked the doors with the window down and reached in and unlocked it from the inside.

Your lucky it went off that way..usually they wont even go off by doin that..

I dont really know anything that sets it off. I know if you take a screw driver and knock your key hole in, it unlocks the door and your factory alarm wont make a sound. If that happens to an aftermarket alarm, soon as they open the door it will start screamin..
