CC05, yeah we've got some places around us with rigs like that.
For us, we just pleasure ride. Have 3 horses, but really usually only trailer 2 most of the time, the old girl is pretty much retired. We have a 16' aluminum 3/4 horse/combo trailer so this will be plenty to pull that.
We used to pull the trailer with an 06 4x4 1500 Z71 5.3 liter, which pulled it fine, but was just too much wear and tear over time for the half ton.
Oh and my wife wouldn't be caught dead driving an SUV. LOL.

Well, my ol' lady does NBHA so we trailer whenever I get the time, but I just pleasure ride. We've got some nice trails around here, and also a few good riding clubs. I do barrels with her for fun, but I'm not that competetive into it like she is. Most of the time, we just pull a two horse Keiferbuilt. Unless we go real far, we just pull it. Not too many horse riders on Performance Trucks.

We've got horses and have trailered them all over. My ol' lady's family also owns a full-out horse farm and rasies bucking bulls. Unless you're pulling a huge *** cattle trailer or big luxury liner, it's fine. Believe it or not, a luxury liner that only holds three horses, weighs 26,000 lbs. loaded up. In order to have a stock truck that would have a warranty and be able to pull the trailer without struggle and be stable, you'd literally have to buy a Kenworth. The single wheels out back begin to show out at a certain load limit. Been there, done that. Regardless, that's a nice *** truck.
Want a picture? It gets attention.

We have some friends that do NBHA, and have made some long runs with her. They have a Kodiak we use when they do the long distance runs.
But yeah, for the most parts its just trailering to some local arenas and friends properties or some of the local trails to ride. Usually less than 30 miles at a time. Although we have a vet about an hour away, and we always like to have the truck for emergency times. Being near the coast, if we ever have to evacuate with the horses because of a hurricane, we have it. Last time we had to do it with the half ton Z71 pulling the trailer, 3 horses and a ton of feed/hay/etc...... Needless to say the truck was definitely overloaded.
