I'm going to run the XPR 10w30 this go around. I just got a case of it in. But next time I'll be going with the XPR 20w50. Here's what RP's web site says about it; XPR 20W50 is formulated for running extended periods under extreme pressure and heat. It is used in oval track, marine and drag racing and is very popular in sprint cars, late models, truck pullers and bracket racing. XPR 20w50 or 10w40 are actually recommended for High Perf Drag Racing Domestic Small Block Engines running Forced Induction / Nitrous.

What he said Been running RP since I bought the truck. I'm already sold, but it is pretty $$$. Matter of fact, just changed mine this morning 20w50.

I think I'll prob. stick to 5w30, and it looks like I'll be switching to RP too. I just changed my oil with Mobil 1 a little while back. How many miles do you guys usually run the RP or any synthetic oil for?

check out ebay for royal purple prices. I've never seen it around here in stores, but there's a few places on ebay who want like $76 for a case of 12 with free shipping. That's not bad at all.

When I was talking to the rep he said change filter at 7k and oil and filter at 14k. On stock vehicles I just pick a good round # and change it all at 10k.

royal purple is really expensive here. the 100,000 mile old ls1 i put in my truck was run on royal purple and when i had the heads off the walls looked BRAND NEW! you could still see the fine machine work in the walls like it was done yesterday. i cant afford the RP though!

what if i were to run royal purple for 3k miles--change the filter and add a quart then go another 3k miles? i should be fine then eh?
