yup, that's the one. I'm sending the converter back to yank and having the trans beefed up cause it is slipping bad. the trans fluid was black last week when we drained it. yikes

Here's another thought. I added it up today and I could literally remove and sell $20,000 worth of parts from this truck. Someone with a shop could buy it from me for around that price, strip all these parts off and sell them, get all/most of your investment back, throw a used 6.0/80e combo in there and sell the truck for whatever book is and make yourself upwards of $10,000.

I do not have the time or skills to do this myself.

how is the gas mileage? Is it possible to daily drive? Any known problems?

i definitely drive it every day. no issues just dealing with the idle hunting at the moment. battery was disconnected for a few weeks while trans was getting rebuilt. it feels better today than yesterday.

oh, oops, forgot about that. uhhh, not sure. i'm thinking 12-14mpg. I'll try to measure it next time i fill up. at over $4/gal, i'm gonna try to stay under 3000rpm so i'm not sure that will give an accurate measure, lol.
