Clean 2003 Duramax 4x4.. trade?
I'm considering selling my 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500HD 4x4. I've owned it over 2 years now and just wanting to see what else is out there. Its the extended cab short bed LT model. It was originally a Kentucky state fleet vehicle, I purchased it with 215,000 miles it now has 248,000. I have spent a lot of money on upgrades and maintenance since I've owned it. I have receipts and documents of everything. This is not some kids truck that has been beat to **** and abused every day. However, its not a perfect truck and will need a few things but nothing major.
The good:
-All 8 brand new injectors 20,000 miles ago
-FASS titanium 150 lift pump done at same time as injectors
-AEM brute force HD intake with ported turbo mouth piece
-MBRP 3" downpipe to a Magnaflow 5" straight pipe
-PPE boost increase valve, intake heater delete
-Stock rebuilt transmission all new synthetic fluid and filter
-all synthetic fluid in engine, rear diff, front diff, transfer case, trans
-Leveling kit with shock extenders
-Bilstein shocks all the way around, bilstein steering stabilizer
-Rare parts HD tie rods, new idler and pitman arm
-Caltracs traction bars
-EFI Live with 5 tunes you can change on the fly
-Autometer factory matched boost and EGT gages
-New GM flexplate and starter
-Both batteries new, new oem alternator, new idler and tensioner pulleys and belt
-New merchant auto upgraded water pump, new gm fuel pressure regulator
-Low profile black diamond plate tool box and bed rails
-Banks mandrel bent intercooler piping and clamps/hoses
-new thermostats and gaskets
-method 17x9 wheels with bfg 35" tires
The bad:
-A/C needs charged
-Tires are about done
-Needs ball joints done in the near future, steering is getting a little loose.
-Truck has some rock chips, a few dings, a couple dents. All can be pulled out by a paintless dent removal shop.
-Drivers side seat has common tear
-Radio is from a different truck so it looses its presets every time you shut the truck off.
-abs light on for some reason
-needs a fuel sump kit if you want to run the tank below 1/4. Its a common issue with the lift pump. They sell fuel sump kits for less than $200 and you do not need to drop the tank. I have been holding off on this, I just fill up around 1/2 tank.
The truck is rust free and the paint looks good after a wash and wax. Only seen 1 indiana winter last year and I had coated the rockers and cab corners with POR-15 to help protect them, and powerwashed the truck once a week. Truck runs excellent and has plenty of power, always starts in the cold. When it gets below 0 degrees it helps if its plugged in. 4x4 is push button on the dash and works flawlessly.
Asking $16,500 or possibly looking to trade. Looking for a new body style chevy or gmc GAS truck. Preferably crew cab with leather. Located in south bend, indiana, 46614
