FS: ZR1 Killing Turbo AWD Van
I do not own this van, I wish I do. I am selling it for a very close friend, Tylor. If you are interested in this Van, let me know and I will forward his phone number.
SOLD
If you've been to the Midnight Mayhem in Las Vegas 2 years back, you may have seen this van beating the ZR1 Corvette, a few Evo's, STi's, Mustangs and F-bodies. One night it was there with car seats on the back because it was transporting kids in the morning and we forgot to remove them lol. If you don't believe me, there is a video below.
Turbo Van Doing It Again - YouTube
Specs:
04 Chevy Epress AWD Turbo
46,000 miles
8 Passenger
Doors on both sides
Power Windows and Locks
Dual A/C with rear controls
Tow package
Multi CD
Onstar
The Build
It was carefully planned and designed by Tyler and my friend Jon (1320) to be the ultimate daily driving sleeper. It took them 1 year to build it, they sweated over all the little details to make sure this is a reliable van for Tyler's wife. The end result is a Van that anybody can drive, turn, and stop safely but with a hero mode. The hero mode is, thanks to all wheel drive, turbo, and perfect stall, this Van can launch out of the hole with 17psi without any wheel spin on regular street tires by anyone.
Work done:
72 MM Turbonetics Turbo with 1.00 AR Divided Housing
Quick Spool valve and electric exhaust cut out
Cummins Intercooler
Devils Own water / meth injection
Ceramic Piston coating and DEI Lava Wrap on all pipes
50 MM Waist Gate
Huge Trans Cooler and two radiators for coolant: never hot ever
5.3 WIth 317 Heads for near 9.0:1 Compression Ratio
Corvette LS6 CAM
ARP Head Studs
Built 4L80E From Rossler with PI 3000 Stall triple lock up (The tranny alone costs $6,500, without it, the original transmission could not have handle the power)
14 inch power slott brakes
Hawk pads
285/45/20 Tires
1 1/8 inch sway bar in rear (came with nothing)
KYB Mono Max Shocks
Electric Cutout
This van can be nice and mellow with the Electric Cutout closed, with the low boost setting it can be a very comfortable 500hp van. With the electric cutout opened, the van gets angry, boost goes to 17psi, and we start winning races no 6300lbs van should.
This AWD van goes, stops and steers:
Performance
60 Foot times 1.8
1/8 mile is 8.2
1/4 mile is 12.80
at 17 psi and 6300 pounds in Vegas
20,000 boosted miles everything works except AC.
(new compressor but needs charged)

Vegas stripe is around 2200 ft above sea level, our bad air is around DA of 4000 ft in the summer time, we get 100 degrees of heat at night and 110+ degrees day time from Jun to September. It is not uncommon for Sea Level cars to loose .6 to 1 seconds up here. Also, the video above shows how much prep the track gets, it is very slick. The ZR1 absolutely cannot get traction, it was just spinning the tires.
Here is the very rough breakdown of the costs, some he paid more because it he was the first to order the parts for the van, others we were able to get it for cheap.
AWD Van $24,000
Twin Scroll 72 MM Turbonetics Turbo with 1.00 AR Divided Housing $1,000
Quick Spool valve and electric exhaust cut out $400
Cummins Intercooler $300
Devils Own water / meth injection $300
Ceramic coating and DEI Lava Wrap on all pipes & turbo $1,500
50 MM Waist Gate $150
Huge Trans Cooler and two radiators $1,000
5.3 WIth 317 Heads for near 9.0:1 Compression Ratio Free
Corvette LS6 CAM $300
ARP Head Studs $100
Built 4L80E From Rossler with PI 3000 Stall triple lock up & transfer case $8,000
14 inch power slott brakes $200
Hawk pads $100
285/45/20 Tires $1,200
20" Wheels $1,500
KYB Mono Max Shocks $400
Electric Cutout $200
Misc Hoses, couplers, filters, mandrel bend pipes, plugs, & stuff $2,000
Est. Total $42,650
