Default Question about selling vehicle to out of state buyer

It appears I may have a buyer for my truck who lives in a different state than myself.

A little background. I have an 06 SS and live in California. Currently the truck is registered up to date but no smog certificate. Will this be an issue selling it to another state where there are no smog requirements considering I have title in hand?

Hoping some Cali guys or anyone cam chime in to put myself and the potential buyer at ease.

Thanks.

The buyer's state should be the only one that matters, but you do live in Cali...

I don't know about some of the other states, but I know in Kansas if it has four wheels and is capable of moving under its own power, titling from out of state is not a big issue.

I can't speak for California but I've purchased a few cars out of Ohio where you need to have the title signed by the notary republic and tons of BS. Fortunately for me, none of those things apply if you're the vehicle out of state. I was even pulled over and the cop said something like "well this needs to be signed by the notary blah blah yadda yadda..." to which I said "no, I am not titling the vehicle here. Therefore, that does not apply to me." 30 mins later, I was on my way.
