thanks for mentioning that about the 4.8/80E Nick. Its not fast by any means but I would say its as fast or faster than a stock 5.3 truck. It shifts at 6000RPM 1-2, and 2-3. Thats about 64mph, and 103 
with the 80E. The gears are long but on the highway it'll pass someone like nobody's business LOL. from a dig, yes, its soggy, but it'll still pull anything you can pull on a bumper. This setup came to be from me de-modding the truck after the turbo kit was on it. I had a clean longblock sitting there that I knew ran good so I put it in. It is still tuned OLSD, if someone local buys it I'll be more than happy to continue to tune it.
with my tuning and driving I've seen as much as 24mpg running 65mph on a long flat trip, but its normally right at 20. mixing it with stop and go gets about 17mpg.. so its about average for any half ton truck, maybe a hair better.
