well, like mike said, we dont currently support your vehicle, but when we do, the tuner will cost less than $400.

this includes data logging capabilities and free data logging software online.

i guess my question here is: Why would you go through the trouble of spending the extra time and money needed to purchase a data logger separate from the hand held tuner when ours comes together for cheaper?? i'm still not understanding your mentality here

Yeah...umm...since tuning requires datalogging, it only makes sense that the tool used for tuning could/would/should datalog as well...

Yes, but when that is only option, you take what you can get. The 03's have been out for over 7 yrs, and SCT is the only Custom Tuning there is.

Thanks.

I dont follow....we have support for the 03 Ram HEMI, limited, but it is there. Datalogging too.

I have seen a few supercharged 03s and even a few heads/cam 03 trucks done with CMR.

How limited are you saying and can I tune it myself, or do I need to have it tuned? And what is CMR?

Thanks.

It does require our CMR tuning software. (software we sell to tuning shops that allows you to edit the factory files)

Limitations on the 03 Ram models include no idle rpm tuning and no speed limit control (due to them using a separate ETC controller) as well as no TCM support.
You can access all of the timing and fuel tables, rev limit, etc.

So, what your saying is, for $400.00 I get a hand held, with caned tunes, and I'm unable tune it myself. I then need to buy the CMR software, or have it tuned from a shop, Correct? How much is the CMR software?

Thanks.

Well, we need to go back to the fact that we do not currently support the 03 4.7 models.

But, if we did, the process is like that, get a Predator or Trinity first. They have canned tunes and lots of adjustable parameters that will allow you to dial in bolt ons and simple changes.
Once you go nuts with heads, cams, FI, whatever, you get to one of our CMR tuners and let them build you a custom tune for the truck, and he can load up to 5 or so custom tunes to your tuner.

CMR for Dodge is $2500, and is a full tuning suite with unlimited tuning.

What would one of your CMR dealers charge for a tune?

Thanks.
