Oh ****, i completely forgot about the TBSS intake setups, i hear they do wonders actually, i was thinking leave it alone for now, but hell, that intake and a set of headers would REALLY make this thing put some power down, not to mention a LS6 cam.
What is the Dr X adapter?
Why the LS3/9 TB? The TBSS piece isnt good enough?

yes. . . 25+ with the intake and TB swap alone. Nothing else. Intake is $150 new and bare
The 4 bolt LS2 style from a TBSS will work. . . but there are issues with it not opening all the way to 100%, or REP issues. The LS7 (silver blade) reverse opening TB works, but they're expensive. $300 + . . . it's a stronger motor
The newer LS3/LS9 TBs that come on the 09 and up trucks/vettes/camaros is $200 +- some. It's just as strong as the VETTE LS2 TB, but costs less. Keep in mind, the LS2 TBSS came with a LS2, but the TB is of the lesser grade . . .
Dr X harness - Make your own 8 to 6 pin conversion harness or buy one for $225 something from Torque Rush
LS6 cam - Don't bother with it unless you do your own tuning/mechanical work. There's way better cams to get your pig moving

Ok, good to know, LS6 cam is just a cheap alternative to stock, otherwise, i dont want to spend 400$ on a mild grind if the LS6 cam works well.
Nothing can be done to get the TBSS TB to open 100% then i assume.

used great condtion cams come up for sale all the time . . .
It's a hit or miss with the TBs . . . . I tried an 03, 04, and an 05 before selling those to get the new style.
