03 RCSB Silverado 4.3 to 5.3 swap HELP!
I have recently purchased a 5.3L, consisting of the block, heads, and all internals, that came out of a 2003 Avalanche. I have never done this before and would really appreciate any help.
As far as intake goes, I'm wanting to run a Holley mid-rise intake manifold. To go with the intake i'd like to run Holley's 90mm throttle body. In the future I plan to run a turbo set up, but for now what intake shoud I use?
I'm currently in the process of porting my heads to the Holley mid-rise and a set of Texas Speed Longtubes.
I'm not sure what all I want to do with the internals, but I do know I want to upgrade the cam. Do y'all have any sugestions? Should I call Comp Cams and have a them machine a custom one to my upgrades?
My truck is currently an automatic, I'm wating to run the six speed T-56 transmission with the 5.3. What all is needed to convert from automatic to standard?
What's the best way to go about the ECM and wiring harness for all of these applications?
Any advice or input is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Another thing I forgot to mention is I plan on using electric fans and also that the Holley intake manifold requires a different front dress. Many people use the F-body front dress, what's y'alls opinion on that?

YOU CANNOT KEEP THE DRIVE BY CABLE. That's in caps because I seem to mention it in every 03+ swap thread. You have to convert your truck to DBW which takes an hour. Deal with it.
You can bolt in the pedal, bolt in the TAC module, and run the harness through the existing hole. OR re-wire your truck from the gas tank forward.
