So i want to try using the Real Time Tuning feature of HP Tuners but i don't want to run SD. when i go to the OS tab, 1 Bar MAF- Enhanced tab is not available. do i have to do something special or can i simply not use it?

 

Did you buy it? It's not free, you have to buy it for 1 credit I believe before you can apply it.

Yeah you can apply the 1bar enhanced to an existing Operating system (tune) but then you would have to have creditas to write it to a PCM.

 

Soooo. How do i go about buying ced upgrade. it says the only available upgrade is the one to tune and unlimited number of my year make and model.

I think the problem lies in that my OS tab says that the MAF enhanced is unavailable while the 1 and 2 bar SD just say unlicensed.

 

Well as far as credits, you login to their website and order them. In a matter of a few minutes, in my case anyway, you can have credits to apply to whatever you wish to do. When you go to write the the enhanced OS it will then say you are unlicensed for it do you wish to apply credits to license it.

Let me get home to my laptop and I'll look at the OS's available. Maybe the 1 bar Maf enhanced isn't available for an 02 OS?

 

I still have 6 credits available from purchasing the software so i shouldn't need to purchase anymore.

I really hope its available for the 02 OS. it says its available for most 98 and up applications.

 

I downloaded an 02 Chevy file from the repository. It doesn't show a 3Bar SD nor a 1 Bar Enhanced as available to convert to.

If I open an 03 file all are available to convert.

 

Post the file, most if not all 05+ pcm's don't offer the maf enhancement. There are also a few 99-04's that don't offer the maf enhancement either but there are very few that don't. I could at least tell you if you have other options though. I will say, however, that most 01+ operating systems can use the maf even when running the SD custom operating system so its much less of a problem in these cases.

 

Just today I had to purchase 2 more credits for a 3bar enhancement because I was locked out of my tune after the install...that makes 4 credits I had to use just on my truck so that I can tune it!
