Default 13 Sierra 5.3 14k miles rough idle

Ok I will try to keep this short, 2013 Sierra 5.3 w/14k miles. Was running great stopped and got some gas, on the way home CEL came on, then started flashing. Lost throttle response and acts like it wants to die when I put it in reverse or drive, it kinda sounds like it has a big cam in it. I have checked the throttle body, its clean and the mass air flow is clean, and the throttle position sensor is working right. Anyone else have this problem? Going to put a scan on it tomorrow to see what it says.

Flashing SES is a misfire. If it has AFM/DOD it could be a lifter on one of those cylinders. See if it is misfiring on cyls 1, 4, 6, or 7. If it is that is probably it. I've seen some that the misfire will come and go. Look at the misfire history with a scanner. I've fixed a few by disabling the AFM/DOD in the tune while they weren't misfiring. Those vehicle would start misfiring on a cyl coming out of DOD mode going back to 8 cyl mode. On those it seemed if you could keep them from ever going into DOD mode they would continue to run normal without misfiring.

Ok so the code scanner showed that it has an open circuit on cylinders 2,4,6,8. So now I'm not sure if it is an wiring problem or the lifters. Any way to check this myself? Or could it be something else?

Your description makes no sense. Was there a code #?

That is an open injector circuit on cyl 2 and that is not a DOD cylinder.

Yeah it was, I got it tracked down, since I had an open circuit on cylinders 2,4,6,8 I started checking the injectors on that side and none have volts going to them so I started tracking it back from there and the fuse in the fuse box under the hood for those was loose and not making a snug fit, changed the fuse and now all is working like it did before, no CEL and the traction control light when off. Thanks for the help tracking this down
