That maybe the case, I'll have to check that tomorrow. I replaced the bad O2 sensor today and the truck is running so much better. The only code I have now that I can't figure out is P0101 for the mass air flow sensor. I've tried 3 different sensors. 1 out of my buddies truck that I know for sure works but the code still comes back.

theres no way in hell that motor would run at 1mpg...it would flood out horribly. there would be no spit or spudder...just a lay over and die. spitting and spuddering sounds like a lean condition to me. avoid those spits and sputters unless you hate that 5.3

oh, where are you from. we have members all over the place that can help diagnose the issue in person. over the net is really hard without some kind of scanning/tuning software.

Im in Port St. Lucie, FL zip 34983. 1mpg was just to get some help fast. It was actually getting around 4mpg. It was bad but the new O2 has definetly helped alot. I still need to get the computer tuned and figure out why I have a P0101 code. Im gonna try some maf cleaner later on today and see if that helps.

Turns out the input speed sensor and the speed sensor plug were backwards. I swapped them around and the speedo is working properly now. Now I just have to figure out the P0101 code.

time to check for wiring issues if you have a good maf to see if yours was in fact bad

Replace the O2 in bank 1. If that doesn't cure the fuel trim issue, you may have a broken wire in the O2 harness.

Time to start tracing the maf wires if he cut a bunch of them. May be easier to buy a new engine harness and replace the mess the previous owner made.
