Default 2-7 Misfire clogged injectors

South east TX guys watch where you fuel up. I had a hard miss on 2-7 few days ago and found injectors clogged w/ rust. I dropped the fuel tank only to find there was nothing but clean gas in the tank well wtf? Took sending unit apart and found fuel pump outer case had flaky rust all the way around. Only thing that could have cause that was a little water sometime ago. Secondhand truck so who knows where the last guy got fuel. Anyhow I say all of this to tell you to watch out when GM says all you need is an injector flush. I pulled and cleaned my injectors before dropping the tank and saw this crap at the top and bottom and afterwards it ran fine for 2-3 days. It cant just be mine that has done this.

I know we're on a different side of the country here in Jersey, but we've been seeing a ton of fuel related runability problems at the Lexus dealership that I work at...injectors clogging, fuel pumps failing, etc. Seems the ethanol mix is letting the water rise to the top of the containment units, being pumped into the cars/trucks, and burned through the system. The ethanol is also cleaning the sludge off the containment units and doing the same with that...this is what happens when politicians get together and make decisions without consulting real engineers and mechanics...dumb asses
