2001 gmc sierra1500,2wd,4.3to5.3

Default 2001 gmc sierra1500,2wd,4.3to5.3

I've swapped my gmc sierra from a 4.3 to a 2004 5.3 drive by wire ,got everything bolted and plugged up ,do I need to change the fuse block or can I use the one in it and what do I need to do to get it to start thanks

You won't be able to use the wiring in the 2001 truck to control the 2004 computer/dbw/pedal assembly.

I would switch the 2004 motor to a regular cable throttle body and use a DBC computer.

I changed all that and the plug that goes to the fuel tank and evap canister is the same I checked that out just the plug is different I just used the plug off the 4.3 harness just switched the pins to match the other end, anyway I think I just need to get the computer flashed is all , if I can get an answer on the fuse block I've got the one that came with the 04 harness I need to know if I need to change that or leave the one in it

I changed to the drive by cable my friend thanks for the advise ,now I got it running finally just gotta figure out why my gauges are not working ,might be a plug on the transmission not plugged all the way in
