Default 2002 2500 Cluster in a 2000 1500

I recently got a 2002 silverado 2500 instrument cluster (with the trans temp gauge) to put in my 2000 silverado. That being said, the plug in for the harness is located on the top of the cluster whereas my trucks original cluster has the plug in on the back side at the top. Will this cluster go in without issues? Ive searched around but haven't found much info regarding this. Im out of town and want to start gathering some parts to customize it but I want to be sure it will work. Thanks in advance!
