2003 5.3 HPP3 Question and DTC Question
I reprogrammed the Yukon today with the HPP3, brought it back down to the 87 octane tune from 93 and lowered the rev limiter from 6200 to 6000, the 1-2 shift from +4mph to +1mph, and the 2-3 shift from +12mph (yikes) to +0mph. Kept the speed limiter at the max 128 though
Also cleared 3 DTC's
DTC B0434 Temperature Control #3 Rear Feedback Circuit Range
DTC P0420 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 1
DTC P0430 Catalyst System Low Efficiency Bank 2
I know what the last two are from but what is the "Temperature Control #3"?
Do my settings look ok for a daily driver with intake / exhaust / headers?

As for B0434, it has to do with your rear HVAC. I've seen quite a few of those, and TONS of B0229 codes in the tahoes and yukons... Not sure what the fix is for B0434, but B0229 needs a BCM reflash from the dealer.

Justin - Cool, thanks, I'll have our guy check the rear HVAC, we have heard a very quiet (but it's there) fan noise coming from the back even when the rear HVAC is off.
Jonathan - At this point I'm mainly using the HPP3 to bypass the pesky 98mph stock limiter. With 5 4th gen fbodies in the 10's, 11's, and 12's under my belt I definitely know the benefits of custom tuning, it's just not worth the money to me... with this current setup and at this particular time. I picked up this HPP3 from a fellow member a while back for next to nothing, and it's done what I wanted it to do.
I probably won't tune it until we throw a cam in. I also have a dry kit in the garage that needs to be put on, maybe I can do those both at the same time along with the tuning.
