So my converter is locking/unlocking at low speeds because the lockup speed is set too LOW or too HIGH? I'm sure wheatley will know, I'm just curious..

And Trever..I know I know..lol. This tune was really just a pre-tune, because I knew I was getting headers in a couple of weeks, and wasn't really going to be beating on it too hard in the mean time. And through searching on here, I had really had conflicting information on if premium had much effect on the low compression 5.3. But seems for sure the general consensus is to get premium.

the benefits of tuning for higher octane outweigh the costs. Alone, without tuning it makes no difference.

ok the locking and unlocking I have seen before, and know the fix.Yes that is VERY aggravating.
I have my Pi 3800 locking at 43MPH during light throttle. Some like it locking up at other speeds than others!!
I would run the higher octane fuel personally, even if the compression is stock.

Well, whenever I get the retune, I guess you can work you magic and fix it. And locking up at a lower speed..38-42 would be great also!

And we can also set it up for 93.

Looking forward to the cable tune!

I have mine setup to lock in 3rd gear at 38 mph and my 4th setup to lock at 48. It's great because around town I just put it in "3" and on the highway I keep it in 4th "D." I pull 12-14 in town with an ss3600 converter and 21-22 on the highway.
