I installed a remote start/alarm/keyless entry on my truck, or want to at least.

I have VATS deleted from my PCM so the engine starts up fine and everything without using the bypass stuff.

My question is, what is the wiring colors for the door locks? I can't find it anywhere, all I find is "plug in the bypass and use that", but when I don't need this- what are the general wires?

If it's 03 up they don't use door lock wires. You have to use a databus interface module to actuate the door locks it's done over the databus.

 

Off topic but what model did you get and how long was the install?

 

ah, good info. I did not know that! So I will need a bypass module that will convert the unlock/lock triggers of the alarm interface to be converted to an output that will be sent through the OBD2 violet wire

So far I just have the remote start installed, which took about an hour, going slow and in the dark using a flash light lol I'm going to need that module in order to get the door locks to work
