Where did you find the formula for the AC pressure voltage to psi/kPa? I ask because I was under the assumption that 0v = 0psi and 5v = 450psi....therefore, 1v = 90psi, 2v = 180psi and so on. That would mean you only need {voltage*90} in your formula for psi.

I got it from the guys who develop EFI Live.

Cool - thanks! Think I found the thread over there. Been a while since I was active on the forums...

What happened to my A/C Pressure PID?!!

Well the problem is pretty much gone. I revisited my TF and TC tables, adjusting them slightly. Then i copied over the ac torque loss tables over from a 2002 camaro since ours the main torque loss table is zeroed out from the factory. I decreased the IAT table done some the. I started increaseing the main ac torque loss table. I kept increasing it until the surging went away.
Hey Corey after you installed the circle d did you have problems with warm starts? I have had the same problem as you since I put my Circle d in. The truck surges with the a/c on and it also surges when I come to a stop. This never happened with the stock stalls. When I try to start the truck when the engine is warm, the engine will start then immediately die. The engine will only stay on when I do a warm start if I play with the throttle while cranking it over. I brought up throttle cracker and throttle follower to Nelson telling them i read somewhere that a higher stall can cause my symptoms and sopposedly they need to be adjusted but they said they never heard of a stall causing my symptoms. Also I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I have lean codes misfire code and my truck is getting about 9 miles a gallon with a not so heavy foot. They suggested I buy hp tuners so I can send them some logs. Maybe this is a very uncommon problem. Let me know if you had any of my symptoms so I can try to narrow my problem down.
Thanks Corey

Well those lean codes arent helping. But lower ther throttle follower decay rate. So increase the throttle follower delay. As for the warm starts adjust the startup friction table delay and decay. Increase the delay and decrease the decay. I hope that helps. PM if you need some help.

Thanks man. I will have to forward this info to Nelson. I don't know why I have these lean codes. I just got the new tune and My AFR gauge doesn't really go above 14.7 unless i am coasting. I have checked for exhaust leaks and sprayed starting fluid around the intake and the truck didn't change the idle so I am puzzled here. I am going to need to get a hold of hptuners somehow so I can send nelson the logs. When I called them they said they havent heard of tc and tf and that a smaller diameter stall could cause the stalling conditions.

I had more luck going the other way. AC torque calculations were preventing my truck from going into adaptive idle mode. If I set it up with less delay and faster decay rate then my truck can get to adaptive idle mode faster and the problem is fixed.

Eeeevery once in a while when pulling up to a light, something will keep me from going into adaptive idle and I'll get bad idle swings but it's rare.
