I have had EFI live for over 2 years, tinkering with my Duramax,

I like the Tables better on HP tuners ( the ones i understand LOL) and would like to be able to unddrstand the EFI live tables/values better. ( I sold my HP tuners back in 06' when i sold my turboed Z71)

I would just love a DVD with great Beginner ways of navigating thru each table, and what each table does/controls and how changes affect performance.

Thanks for the help guys, im sure more of us want a DVD / INFO that will help newbies tune. No one cares more about our engine combos than ourselfs LOL!

Truth be told, most tables wont be touched anyway, and several wont be touched after you have them tuned to your liking. unless you really hacked the tune, your not gonna hurt the engine anyway.

What are you goals in your tuning?

Well bud,for starters i would like to be able to fine tune , like cold start up, also if i increase boost levels what i would need to do to compensate, or if i install or change cams on a vehicle.

Also would like to take a stock vehicle, like my wifes 05 Tahoe Z71 and give it a performance tune.

I just am very leary of making changes before i know what all effects they will have so i dont break any thing, i cant afford that LOL.

Just make sure your WB is working and watch for KR. Other than that just start playing with things. Get your VE table dialed in and then you can play with your spark advance. Also are you running a Custom Operating System? I find it much easier to tune with on a FI vehicle. not as many tables to play with.

Man there a ton of tutorials on here and on efi live to get you started... Another way is to search on the table name for example b0101, then read the threads that pop up...

Here are 2 examples of threads that i put together

VE, IPW, and MAF tuning

transient fuel tuning.

Like i said its Easier for me to WATCH than to read to understand how this is done, Hence i want a DVD to watch! LOL

My Truck runs awesome thanks to TJ. I dont need to change anything on my tune, i just want to have some info on how to if I ever NEED to. Want to be more educated on the workings of the software.

And like i said i want to tune my wifes sometime.

This sucks if there are no DVD's out there!!!!!!
