Mine doesn't like to stay there. I stuck a piece of foam there a couple times, but it was so ghetto, I can't do it anymore!

Do you have the bench seats or bucket? I've tried it in both and the bucket center console and the flip-down center seat console and the center seat console is much better. Although, if I hit the brakes hard enough I can still make the lappy go flying

I also have a jotto desk, Cost a ton, And all Ricers will drool..... lol But they are way nice. There are three sections, The bottom section which bolts to the front of the passanger seat, the stand which can be removed with one bolt (no tools required) and the desk section, which also can be removed by loosening one bolt (again no tools).
Things I hate about it. First off my wife Hates riding in the truck with the lab top stand and labtop. But if I remove the desk section she is fine. The front seat loses about two inches of forward travel. I have yet to see the down side of this, but it does it so.... And the biggy for me.... The stand Raddles if there is no labtop in it. I usally pull the desk section and throw it in the back seat, but it will still raddle...
I'll tack some pics in the morning if anyone wants them..
I also have the screen suport (which also will raddle if left loose)
And the stand suport...

Its a nice setup. I think its slowing you down alot. You need to give it to me, the extra weight wont bother my slow truck.

Thunder,
I have buckets with the center console in mine.
I have to hold the puter any time I make a hard turn.

Very good input Wilde,
I plan on making a solid unit, and anything rattling in the truck drives me nuts too.
I get the feeling that a screen support will be needed.
If the desktop could be flipped up so it's vertical, would that be out of the way enough for a passenger (wife)?
