Nope, but it's pretty obvious when a converter locks up.

Hmm...very interesting. Lots of reading between two threads. Long story short, if you have an 87 to '00, update your pcm or get the fix from ed or any custom tuner.

No offense to anybody but, at WOT +75mph in a low 12sec truck, I almost cant tell that mine locks. If it was stock, no way. Imagine doing a 11.5 or 10 sec run, you'd never know unless you have a PI like Ky.

I think the faster you go the easier it is to feel the converter lock, but maybe that is just mine, before the trans rebuild my line pressure goes up to aid in the tcc lock which makes mine a bit more firm. Now I actually have a modified tcc valve. it locks so hard now it jars the truck. I know when it locks at any speed. But I could see a stock on going undetected. None the less. now that I actually understand what the whole thread is about Like Dew said, a simple upgrade to an 01-02 pcm would be the best/easiest fix.

well...
I used the new adjusted tune after completing segment swaps of each section...
still locks in 2nd and 3rd...
going to try it again with segment swaps on everything EXCEPT transmission sections...then copy & paste on transmission tables...
If that doesn't work...then I'll try it w/o segment swaps and doing table by table conversions...
we'll see...
