kinda..... also if he has cats more than likely he toasted those as well.. the -38* IAT reading will cause the truck to run rich, rich will plug the cats, plugged cats will nuke the O2 sensors... So if i am right, a $12 iat sensor and a $10 peice of wire just caused you alot of issues.... the plugged cats and nuked O2 sensors is probably what is causing the truck to run like crap and get bad MPG...

Sorry that was the wrong log. I have a log with the temps up and the o2s never switched on. The o2s where black as he'll when we pulled em to look. I'll make sure his mad gets hooked back up and get some o2s

updated OP to the correct log allowing temps to 158F. which should have been more than enough to activate trims. Although with what you said corey I guess I would have needed the temps to be over 180 to trigger.
called him and told him to fix the wires to the IAT sensor and then change the o2's. Gonna have him check/change the plugs too.

not according to B4205... normally yes it would have been, but since your IATs are -38* your gonna have to get it hotter... Apparently you did not read my previous post.

I didn't read the last part when I read it on my phone. My mistake.
Good news is he don't have cats. Once he fixes the wires I'm going to rescan it. It's possible he could have washed the cylinders and messed up the rings i suppose.

His o2's appear to be reading within range.

How did you determine that?

he spliced in some new wire to replace the bad section and says it made a HUGE difference. since he didn't have cats i'm going to assume that his O2's are still good but still need to scan it again when I get a chance.

Now if I can get this 4.8 figured out. Damn wideband took a **** and the trims are reading way off.
