bank 1 lean and bank 2 lean
Hey guys, my 05 silv 5.3 cc keeps popping up these codes p0171 bank 1 lean and p0174 bank 2 lean. I have superchips w/ 91 tune, headers, exhaust, tb spacer, slp 160, cold air intake, and mass sensor, and ported throttle body, and 4.10's. normally ill get the occasional p0102 when i have a intake leak, but never had these codes. Thought it might be because i changed the plugs, but they were stock replacement. Pulled the a couple plugs from each side and they looked like they were getting hot, pinkish. I have a set of 31lb injectors i could throw in, would this help, or are plugs the problem. seems sluggish of line, but picks up the same higher rpms. any help would be appreciated.

ive had the maf on for 30,000 miles, no probs, now im running lean, and its sluggish off line. its 58 degrees out in vegas right now, i thought it should be running better, but maybe the granatelli took a crap, ill take the stock maf off my tahoe and see what happens, i also reprogramed for 87 and drove 20 miles home, and the codes didnt come on but they have been going off and on, usually when i get to quarter tank, it comes on, and when i fill up, it goes off, i heard that are truck retard timing when fuel gets lower, maybe that was causing to run lean.

I had this problem a couple times with my truck.Differant reason each time.
The last time i started to have it do this i would clear the codes and they would come back in a day or so.
Sometimes just one side and not the other....I ended up having to get new sensors as my heaters in mine had gone bad and they coudn't reach the correct temp without them soon enough not to set off the code.
It was gay to say the least.

Well, ill take the easy route and try the stock maf first, i have bought a supercharger, sitting in garage, need to save for 42lbs and walbro, theres a local dyno tune in vegas, i just hope nothing goes wrong and im happy with my other mods along with supercharger, i have drive this everyday, so ill only run 6lbs, but should be plenty with current mods, i just hate my shift points with the 4.10s, it seems like i have to manually down shift to get it to take off like i want it too, any ideas/ would 3.73s work better

4.10's should get you off the line faster than 3.73's everyday of the week.
I did have a power loss when my heaters went bad which in turn causes the o2's to go bad once those burn out.
