Default Cammed guys, where do you shift at?

So, I've been doing some thinking about my shift points. Mods are as follows: 2003 5.3/4l60e, 222/230 on a 113, Lts, ory.

I have my shift points set to 6100 via HP tuners, but the logs show that it kicks out closer to 6250. Do you guys think raising my shift points would be beneficial? The nearest track is about a 4 hour drive, so basing everything of e.t.s won't work for me.

From what I've seen, most people shift between 6100 and 6800. I'm too broke to afford stall right now, so do you guys think revving it higher could compensate for having shitty shift extensions? Is 6250 too low to be shifting this cam?

Do you have the cam spec card for your cam?

I do not. It was a custom grind that I bought used. The most I know about it is 222/230 @.050, 113+1 Lsa, .580/.591 lift

i have ran a few cams in my 5.3...
212/218 i shifted at 6500rpm 1/2 and 6300rpm on 2/3 and 3/4
tr220 6700rpm 1/2 and 6500rpm 2/3 and 3/4
LS6 cam 204/218 same shift points as tr220

your 222/230 i would try 6500 shift points and go on up to 6800 if its still pulling

I shift my 227/235 .612/624 113lsa at 6900 in my 6.0 and its still pulling. I would go higher but I dont want the stock rod bolts to fail and trash my motor.
