I reformated my wife's computer i had to use the disk to get those drivers. HPT should put those drivers in a folder on the site...with big red label saying, "FIND INTERFACE DRIVERS HERE".

I am still not sure what your specific problem is. You shouldn't need the interface afaik.

When I load HPT onto the laptop and the interface is connected via usb2 port, there are 2 exceptions in the Device manager. When I try to manually install the device drivers none are found in the hpt folders. It wont accept my user key as valid either but the program runs, I just cant edit or save. I'll do a comoplete install from the disc when i get home.
The laptop is a Gateway with AMD 64 processor.

gotcha.

Get home, get cd, put in.
reboot
don't run hpt, plug interface in. It should say found found new hardware, tell it to search on the cd. It will install one. Then it will say found new hardware again. Do same thing.
Now run hpt, in the help field update key or what ever it says for reading the interface.

I think that's how you do it. LOL

I have issues with the 2.22 as well. I just run the previous version until I buy a new laptop since I assumed my "beater' laptop is the issue.

I'm glad it's not just me having issue's with 2.22. As for the problem with the second computer thing, the key is to load it with the disc and get it working that way first, then use the downloaded update.

Roger that. I had to plug the interface in and read my credits. Seems to be just fine now. Thanks for the help!

It seems to be just fine after loading from the disc, and then updating to the newest revision. I did have to connect the interface to the vehicle and the laptop to be able to view license info but all is well now.

Bill...check your HPTuners thread...Russ wants to know the specs of your truck...You already figured out the converter was slipping but maybe there's something else he see's that others haven't?
