Are you sure the converter is releasing due to a misfire?
Do you mean have a larger difference between the apply and release speeds? I have tried up to like 40 apply and 20 release and it still doesn't help. No misfires here.

What is the tps sensor reporting right at the problem area...

Do you have a log?

i do but I didn't check to see what parameters I'm currently logging lol. I was going to try to get some better logs tonight.

hey i just did this earlier and i got it to stay locked on the highway, it just takes about 5 minutes to warm up. then it locks and stays locked so far.

all that seems to do is make my part throttle 1-2 shift really harsh. still unlocking.

might be a little different with hp tuners.. look at post #8

do you mean that it unlocks when you let COMPLETELY off the pedal? if so i am pretty sure that is normal. you don't notice it with the stock converter cause of the lower stall speed. i do believe that ed wright has a tcm that will solve this concern you are having.
