Default Couple questions about 2-3 bar tuning...

First off I guess my first question is about the stock map sensor... Is it a 1 bar that reads only vac? Im going to run at least 15psi but probley around 18-20 with some good gas. I guess another one off my questions is about the two bar and the three bar sensor. I think the 2 bar only reads up to 14.7 psi so i might as well get a 3 bar sensor...Does this sound about right..

Thanks

Justin

The 2-Bar goes up to 14.5PSI and the 3-Bar will go to 29PSI.

You'll need the 3-Bar. Unfortunately, there is going to be a lot of resolution lost in your VE tables going with the higher sensor. All you VE numbers will need to be re-mapped. Doing a 2-Bar is easier and what I am familiar with so I will use that as an example.
VE tables start at 15kPa. Your stock numbers can be used as baselines, but you have to copy and paste them into the new table.
Resolution is cut in half with 2-Bar and so every other value gets cast out.
Start with 15kPa. Into that column copy the stock data from 30kPa.
The next one is 20kPa. Into that one paste 40's OEM data.
Then into 25 paste 50's data, etc. until you run out of data. The top half of the map is what you'll need to fill in yourself with the help of a wideband O2 monitor most likely.

For the 3-Bar sensor, starting with 15kpA, you will have to paste 45's OEM values. For 20kPa paste 60's OEM data, etc.

On mine I also had to double the VE values once all the copy-pasting was done. Maybe for a 3-Bar they have to be scaled by a factor of three.
