Dedicated Tuning Laptop?

I used to use my old laptop for tuning only until one of HP's updates made it so that Vista Ultimate worked. I don't back up like I should, though.
I have a Ram Mount that I used with the old (much bigger) laptop, but I don't use it with this new small one. I'm thinking of selling it.

the new Acer Aspire One is nice too...
very small...
Wal-Mart has it here for $298

Seriously thinking about getting one to use tuning and logging...
My 15.4" screen Acer is really nice, but in hindsight...way too big for tuning use in the truck...

I have an Acer and it's nice for the price. I plan on using my wife's new Vaio I bought her for Christmas if and when I get a hold of a tuning program. I wouldn't think you'll need an entire computer dedicated to tuning because of performance, I think the size and convenience factor would come more into play.

I jsut let my computer flop all over my console lol. It acutally is pretty stable there, highly visable, and no mount bs..
And I use this laptop for everything. Its nice to drive around pick up some free wireless internet, search the tuning forum and keep tuning without ever getting outta the truck.

I was using a 12" that has worked well for me. Hinges are now riveted to the screen and the wiring to the screen is shot so I picked up one of the little 9" Acers. I find it a little small for general use, not bad for in the truck. I might go with at least a 10" notebook if I did it again. Think I will be needing to wear the bifocals when tuning now!
