I cannot get my stock file to write to the PCM. I checked fuses, downloaded the latest EFI Live before I started.
The only thing I can think of is the header hit the starter pole and arced during the stock engine install, but like I said, no blown fuses so??? All grounds are connected, connections are tight. Software issue or did my PCM take a dump?
I'm trying to override a COS if that matters.

I'm not very experienced with EFI Live, but figured I'd post anyways. Was it previously tuned with EFI Live, but a different(possibly newer) version of EFI than yours? Or was it tuned with HPT?

Also, a lot of aftermarket accessories can interfere with EFI or HPT. If you have an aftermarket stereo, autostart, alarm, etc, then you should try removing all of their fuses.

With what I saw in your vid, I do not think your PCM is the problem.

I should add that none of the dash gauges are reading anything except the volt meter. The oil pressure doesn't move when cranking and the fuel gauge stays on empty. Not sure if that means anything.

It was an HPT tune in there before. I have HPT as well. I guess I can look for a stock tune file in HPT format and see what happens? Any idea where I could find one?

I might have one. I can check, if you can wait until tomorrow.

I think I'd try to write a stock file with HPT before trying anything else, in your situation.

Sure, let me know if you can hook me up.
My email is MSgtB10@yahoo.com if that makes it easier than uploading here.

I found a file and tried with HPT. It said "Cannot find the VCM" So, I guess it's the truck not the software. I tried the scanner and tuner.

Any fuses I should look for specifically? I checked the cigarette lighter as I thought that was the usual suspect ( I also checked a bunch of others)

Bad ground?

I can rule out low voltage as I had the truck hooked up to a charger when I was trying to upload the tune.

Doubt it. You can do it yourself if you wanna try it. I put some instructions up on here somewhere.
