Yeah it makes you wonder which is worse for the environment 3mpg more or a little NOx gas? My wallet says lean cruise please! I wonder though, could you run a Australian PCM and then enable it thru HPT? Or is it the fact that the HPT is sold in the US and they won't allow us to use it.

Yup, there is a code in the pcm that looks to see if your running a Holden pcm or (I believe) certain year GTOs have it and if not it will not enable lean cruise even if its showing enabled via HP Tuners.
Believe me I have HPT and tried it, plus this topic has been beaten to death on all the forums and it does not work. One way to get it to work is to have someone re-code the pcm but you'll have to figure out who'll do that for you cause I don't know but I know a couple people have done it.
