DTC p0106 keeps popping up

Default DTC p0106 keeps popping up

Ive searched around on here and couldn't find anyone with JUST the p0106 code.

P0106 - Manifold Absolute Pressure/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem

Should this be a pretty straight forward diagnosis?

It does seem that my truck smells a little richer than normal lately and city mileage, while has never been great, seems to be down slightly too.

Also, is there anything I can do with my EFI Live V2 to help narrow things down?

Should be pretty easy fix.... Maybe just change the MAP sensor. My truck would throw a CEL after I went FI for the MAP sensor being out of range, just had to adjust the level or range. With yours I would just try a new MAP sensor.

Im not sure if this could be related or not, but it seems to only come on when the AC is running.

P0106 is a predicted MAP diagnostic probably caused by the different MAP reading with the triple 12 cam vs the stock cam. Should have been adjusted for in the cam tune.

This just started happening within the last month or so. Been cammed and tuned for it for over a year now with no issues.

Has anything been changed on the truck at all? Does this happen at any specific time? Like higher RPM's. Can you log your MAP when it is happening?

What specific parameter would you need to see? I have EFI Live v2 so what ever PIDs they have for the MAP I should be able to log.

I feel like I notice it coming on at idle or low speed. Like sitting at a light with the AC on and will come on. I changed my catback from factory 2.5" to 3" but this started probably 6 months after i did that.

I was getting that a while ago, but only at higher RPM's. I can't remember off the top of my head, but I'm pretty sure that there are min and max airflow tables in the tune that can trigger that code when the values are exceeded. Can you post your tune, or email it to me at dwrobb99@yahoo.com? I will have a few minutes to look at it after work today.
