GREAT thread, any updates? I'd love to be able to have a mileage or E85 tune and then a proper HP tune that I can toggle between depending on the situation. Being that the truck will soon become my DD a flip switch setup would be ideal!

I just had a thought, and that's all it is, is a thought. There would be a lot of thought that would have to go into it. But... could you run a e-cutout on your exhaust, and run the cutout side to a turbo or set of twins. Have your switch operate not only the PCM change, but also operate the cutouts in a manner you could spool the turbos on the fly....

The tunes can not be changed on the fly, the PCM has to be power cycled for it to change chip sets . Turbo's don't need to be "on demand" with a switch, they do no harm or hurt performance when you not loading the engine in normal driving.

I just thought it would be an awful lot of fun at the track, can't hear turbos if they're not turning, flip the switch, and have 50% more power and a completely different sounding vehicle... definatly would turn some heads.

Where i used to work at our engine management system piggybacked off of the stock pcm. And we could change the tune on the fly as the vehicle was running. We used cac cards to store the tune.
