ECM setup for flex fuel
#32
If you're running 10.8 on the gas scale, you're tune is all screwed up. That's an AFR of somewhere around 6.9 or 7 on the ethanol scale. You need to be around 10:1.
I think you need to just run it on gas for the time being until you get a wideband and do this thing properly.

Older OS's just show Stoich xx.xx, just change that accordingly, some newer ones may have flex fuel tables, so you can just put the desired Stoich in each cell across the table.
The PCM doesnt care what fuel you're using, it's your job to make it know what Stoich is for your fuel.

OK well the mixture came out to about %81 ethanol. But I have a problem. With Stoich set to 10.4 the fuel trims are dead on. I opened injector pulse by 4% also. Power is definitely there, but my EGT's are HOT. Cruising at 60-65 they're running 1300 and wot it has hit 1550 but I have quit there in fear of it climbing much higher. Normal gas tune runs about 1150-1200 cruising and only see 1500 towing heavy loads. What is causing the heat?? I was under the impression ethanol burnt colder. Thanks guys
where is your egt probe?
