You must have not used EFI if you think HPT scanner is better than EFI. I use both almost daily and EFI scanner in better than HPT hands down. HPT scanner is simpler but not better. They both have pro's and con's and it also depends on what ecm or tcm your tuning on which has the better support.

honestly depends on the situation.

the truck im fighting right now is a turbo 6.0 with an l92 top swap. hpt doesn't give me the tb controls that are needed to make it run right. however, efi live does. so, it could differ per application. i honestly prefer hpt over efi.
