To measure you tires to indlude the "squish", why not put a level on the top of the tire, level, and measure the "true" height? Maybe that would work.

That the way I did it. Tire size calculator to get me close then just drove down the road with GPS and made small changes. Got down to .01 changes before I was finished.

I let it automatically scale transmission tables and it worked great.
