Factory 05 up E fan relay/fuse pictures
#12
Sorry I have yet to do this mod. Yes I did get this harness, it appears to be correct. But I have yet to install as I need to get EFI live to enable pin 33 for this to work as G.M. has it work. I was told if light harness is incorrect remove that part and just use e fan harness, this has relays, etc.

not sure, but that is the correct p/n for the harness. I installed this on my truck. Bought the harness and removed the fan portion, as the headlight wiring does me no good on a 2002.
I didn't get a picture of the harness before I took it apart, here are the pictures after I separated them (I think you can tell which is which):

So let me get this right... Instead of buying the Nelson harness or bb one I can use the stock harness that operates the fan? I just got some fans out of a 06 Sierra and I'm sure they will pull the rest of the harness out for a small fee! Does this also wire to 42 blue and 33 green? All this is for my 2000 Silverado

That is how they are triggered, although you will have to run the PCM wires yourself. These wires go to the GT150 connector that you see next to the power wire in my picture. So, have the entire connector pulled and snip the wires on the PCM side of the connector.

So I can jerk the wires from the 06 Sierra all the way to the PCM and snip there disconect power and ground and it will work just like the Nelson or black bear harness? Is this the better way to do this mod.. It's for my 2000 if I didn't mention that earlier!

I don't know if it will work JUST like those harnesses. The stock 05+ harness works straight off battery power and I believe the other harnesses are setup for switched power.
Which means don't use the a/c compressor clutch circuit with this harness or you will drain your battery. the pin 42 will work, of course, if you are already tuned for it and my suggestion is to get the tune for pin 33.
I haven't had the opportunity to get pin 33 tuned yet, but that should be rectified within the next month. Everything has been working just fine, though.

Ok I got the stock harness to the 06 fans all hooked up I have the blue to blue 42 and the green to red 33... When I start my truck they are both on high and dont shut off until I kill the truck... Did I do something wrong? On my 06 I pulled out the pcm and the green is in blue 42 and the blue is in green 33? Im guessing I just need to swap the pins around?
