What footprint are you referring to exactly?
We have done our homework on this. We have confirmed time and again that we do not alter/change/edit anything to do with the CVNs, which is what GM advises dealer techs to look at to determine if a vehicle has been tuned.

Every time the tune is pulled or reflashed it leaves a history of it having been removed and replaced unless it can someway be made to appear as though it was done with a dealer tool. I am not saying they will notice it, but if they look hard enough it can be found.

GDI engines tend run an average of a point leaner than port injection. In all of the ones I have personally calibrated, even under 22+psi the average afr is 12.16-12.8 on gasoline. Running high 11's low 12's on a gdi setup is going to cause an injection timing issue and possible misfires. At least in my findings.
I would imagine GM knows what they are doing when they set it to run as rich as they did

There is no law against having your own TIS subscription and flashing your PCM every day if you want. That is not grounds for warranty denial by any means
